Starting the Great Apps series with something odd , are two
vocabulary trainer apps , KWordQuiz and Parley. Both are
part of the the kdeedu package, so you will have to install the
whole package to get them.
KWordQuiz is a general purpose Flashcard trainer. It also
has Multiple Choice Session,Question & Answer and
Fill-in-the-blank sessions.
Parley is great at helping you memorize things. Its useful
especially with learning a new language.
The best part about these applications is that there are
many online dictionaries that are available and can be
directly loaded from within the program. So no time is
wasted in actually entering all those words. Just go to
Download New Vocabularies in the File menu and you
will be able to install from a long list of them. The range
of subjects covered is major language translations,
anatomy, exam preparation such as GRE and SAT words
and much more.
